The Foundry Tasting
An introduction to the Pence Vineyards wines, highlighting the vineyard both as a whole and as the sum of its parts.

This is a foundational tasting experience, offering a thoughtful expression of Pence Estate and the Santa Rita Hills. Guided by one of our Estate Sommeliers, guests explore a curated selection of estate wines alongside our single block Penny wines, reflecting our farming philosophy and the character of the estate. The experience includes time in the vineyard, connecting the wines in the glass to the land they come from, before continuing in our historic reclaimed barn tasting room.
The Lincoln Tasting
This Tasting is for the collector and connoisseur. It is a deep dive into the age-ability of Pence wines, stemming from our Santa Rita Hills climate, unique terroir, and Burgundian-based farming and vinification processes.
$100 Per Guest
This is a more expansive tasting experience rooted in the traditions of Burgundian vignerons, offering a deeper exploration of site, time, and winemaking intent. Guided by one of our Estate Sommeliers, guests taste single block Penny Chardonnay and Pinot Noir across both current releases and library selections, revealing how individual vineyard blocks evolve with age. Time spent in the vineyard anchors the tasting in place, before the experience continues in our Heritage Room, a private tasting space designed for longer, more immersive exploration.

A tasting led by our winemaker offering an immersive exploration of vineyard blocks, farming decisions and our estate’s terroir.

This is an in-depth tasting experience designed for guests seeking direct engagement with our winemaking philosophy and estate terroir. Guided by our Winemaker, the experience includes a walk through the vineyard, where discussion centers on site specific blocks, farming decisions, and the influences of climate, soil, and season. The tasting then continues in our Heritage Room, where guests explore a broad range of Penny Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, spanning current releases, library selections, and wines drawn directly from barrel. The experience is accompanied by a curated charcuterie selection designed to complement the wines. The Vigneron provides an intimate opportunity to engage with the estate at its most detailed and expressive level.
