2020 Estate Gamay
each
Our budwood was sourced from one of the oldest plantings in the U.S., which has subsequently been ripped out, and was grafted on to a block of our Pinot Noir in 2014. Most importantly, this wine should not be confused with the stylistically different, but more commonly known Beaujolais Nouveau. Our version is inspired by the more serious ‘Cru Beaujolais’, which produce a darker, fuller bodied, more complex and terroir-driven wine that will age gracefully for years. Gamay exhibits Pinot Noir-like qualities is an excellent food-pairing wine with its moderate acidity, light body, restrained tannins, and tangy fruit notes allow it to stand up to both hearty foods and lighter dishes.
